According to BlockBeats, on September 21, the Indian Supreme Court’s YouTube channel was hacked to promote a scam involving XRP cryptocurrency instead of the usual live hearing.

The hack caused the channel to be temporarily closed, but service was restored later that day.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse responded by saying: "Ripple and executives will never ask you to send us XRP. It is regrettable to see scammers plundering and exploiting innocent cryptocurrency users, and social media platforms allowing this scam to appear. Please protect yourself."
