Solana introduced a new smartphone to its line of devices. Check out some of its specifications.

It is Solana Mobile's first smartphone after the Saga, launched in May 2023.

The Solana Seeker has a larger battery and a more affordable price than its predecessor.

Solana Seeker has 8GB of RAM, providing the device with a simultaneous processing capacity considered mid-high range. Solana Saga, Seeker's predecessor, has a larger RAM of 12GB. At the same time, Seeker has an internal storage space of 128GB, while Saga offers 512GB.

The new device features a 6.36″ AMOLED display, slightly smaller than the Saga’s 6.67″ display. One of the features of AMOLED is that the pixels can be turned off completely, which causes a deep black effect when viewing dark colors, while also using less battery power.

The Seeker's camera is 108+32 megapixels. Both the front and secondary cameras are higher resolution than the Saga phone's 50MP + 12MP ones. Making it a better prospect for multimedia content on social media.

Solana Seeker comes with a built-in wallet called Solflare, considered the first native Solana wallet. This phone also integrates a hardware seed vault, or a vault to store seed phrases created specifically for this device.

It has a fingerprint sensor to unlock the device and to sign cryptocurrency transactions.

As a way to provide rewards to future users of the device and those who pre-order it, Solana Seeker has its own native, non-transferable token:

“Each Solana Seeker generates its own non-transferable Seeker Genesis Token. It unlocks exclusive rewards, upgrades, access, and content across the Solana ecosystem,” the Solana Mobile website states.

Due to its purpose as a device to interact with the web3, Solana Seeker would be compatible with the Solana dApp ecosystem.

Pre-order prices and events

At the time of writing, Solana Seeker is priced at $450 for a limited time during the “founder window,” the first of the presale phases. The next window, the early adopter window, will raise the price of Solana Seeker to $500. Overall, these prices are more affordable than Saga, which was priced at $1,000 at launch. The price of Solana Seeker in the final presale window is unknown, and also has no date.
