Circle’s USDC will soon be supported on the Sui network via the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP). Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, announced this on September 17, expanding USDC support to over 15 blockchain networks
USDC will be natively supported on Sui, allowing for cross-blockchain transfers through token burning and minting. @Sui SuiNetwork is a layer 1 (L1) blockchain launched in 2023, using the Move programming language to optimize parallel transaction processing.
The integration of USDC enhances security, interoperability, and convenience for users and developers on Sui.
USDC is currently running on 15 different blockchain networks and is known as one of the largest stablecoins in the world, second only to Tether.
