Crypto.com continues to expand in the MENA region, obtaining a Payment Service Provider license from the Central Bank of Bahrain. This will allow it to offer e-money and fiat services, including prepaid cards, in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
- The GCC includes UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
- Crypto.com joins Binance and BitOasis, which also have licenses in Bahrain.
- Bahrain is creating a friendly ecosystem for crypto and fintech innovation.
Crypto.com also obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider license in Dubai and has partnered with Standard Chartered Bank to offer services in USD, EUR, and AED.
