According to the latest report by cryptocurrency analysis firm Santiment, three altcoins have become notably trending in the last 24 hours.
Among these altcoins, Bitcoin (BTC) was included as expected, while the other two cryptocurrencies were Solana (SOL) and "cat in a dogs world" (MEW). According to Santiment's analysis, the main factor in the increase in BTC's popularity was its price reaching its highest level in the last 25 days.
The reason why SOL became notable is that Solana introduced a new smartphone model, the Solana Seeker, and this phone has already sold 140 thousand units. For MEW, the listing of this altcoin by South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit and recent airdrop events were important factors.
MEW is known as a memecoin and as of the time of writing this article, it ranks 114th among the world's largest cryptocurrencies. Santiment analysts responded to a question about whether MEW is a scam as follows:
