According to CNBC, Binance CEO Richard Teng revealed in an exclusive interview with CNBC during the Token2049 conference in Singapore that the number of institutional and corporate investors on the platform has increased by 40% year-on-year this year. Teng said that institutional allocation to crypto assets is still in its early stages, and a large number of institutions are conducting in-depth due diligence. This significant growth reflects the growing acceptance of crypto-assets such as Bitcoin among large institutional investors, while also demonstrating that Binance has maintained strong market appeal despite regulatory challenges.
In order to adapt to the changes in the global regulatory environment, Binance has changed its corporate governance structure from a founder-led model to a board-led model consisting of seven directors. Teng pointed out that this structural adjustment is more in line with the expectations of regulators and is conducive to the long-term and stable development of the company.
