According to ChainCatcher, Coindesk reported that several Bitcoin wallets from the "Satoshi era" suddenly became active after 15 years of dormancy. On-chain data shows that more than 250 Bitcoins (about $16 million) were transferred in the morning European time, in five transactions, each transferring 50 Bitcoins to new wallets. These Bitcoins originated from block rewards in early 2009 and have never been active before.

It is not clear whether these wallets belong to the same person or entity, and as of press time, the new wallets have not transferred funds to the exchange. It is worth noting that similar large-scale transfers of Bitcoin from the "Satoshi era" occurred in July and December last year, in which more than 1,000 Bitcoins were transferred to exchanges in December and may have been sold.

Whether this transfer will have an impact on the market remains to be seen. 📈
