🌐 Ethereum Big Upgrade: Pectra Phased Strategy is Coming! 🚀
Good news from the latest consensus layer meeting! The much-anticipated "Pectra" upgrade will be implemented in phases, which means we will see a smoother and safer network upgrade process!
Developers are concerned that a one-time big upgrade may bring technical problems and vulnerability risks, so they decided to divide the Pectra upgrade into several small steps. The advantage of this is that we can reduce the possibility of network interruptions and ensure that everything is under control.
The first phase of Pectra is scheduled to launch in early 2025 and will bring eight important Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs). For example, EIP-7702 aims to improve the user experience of digital wallets. These improvements will focus on improving network efficiency and user experience to ensure that we can move forward steadily.
The second phase is more ambitious and will make deeper upgrades to Ethereum's infrastructure. This may include updates to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and the introduction of PeerDAS features designed to improve data availability sampling. This is good news for supporting layer 2 blockchains, as they rely on Ethereum to improve scalability and functionality.
By implementing Pectra in phases, developers can focus on delivering the most critical changes first while ensuring that more complex updates receive adequate attention and testing. This approach helps maintain the pace of innovation in Ethereum while ensuring that the stability of the network is not compromised.
