Ethereum developers have agreed to split the upcoming Pectra hard fork into two packages.

- The decision was made to reduce the risk of bugs and simplify the upgrade.

- The first package includes eight improvement proposals, including EIP-7702.

- The second package will be finalized in the coming months.

- The goal is to launch the first part of the upgrade in early 2025.
