2023cryptomemory
Unknowingly, the time has come to Q4 of 2023, and I thought back on what happened in the encryption circle this year.
In the deeply bear market environment, naturally I did not make any moves on crypto. Defi, NFT, and gamefi that I had been exposed to during the bull market were all deserted. I consider myself not an expert in trading, and coupled with the change in my focus in life, I almost never conduct buying or selling operations in this low-liquidity market. I thought maybe this would be my life day after day, occasionally reading currency news and articles, and then going to X or DC communities to chat with everyone, until the day the bull market comes back.
Unexpectedly, I suddenly received a letter in my email one day 🚩(Picture 1, upper left)
At that moment, I thought to myself: "Huh? Is this a scam letter?" "I'm not a big trader or influencer, how could you invite me!"
Afterwards, I went to the Binance Fanzhong DC group to inquire and verified that this letter was indeed an official one.
I looked at the time and thought for a while, "It seems that I can go and have a look. I have never participated in any offline activities in the currency circle!"
The time soon came to the event day half a month later. The venue was the Taipei Cultural and Creative Club next to Songshan Cultural and Creative Industries. I went to check out the nearby Songshan Cultural and Creative Industries in advance (coincidentally, it happened to be held there that day). T1 professional basketball draft).
Then half an hour before the event time, I slowly moved to the cultural and creative club. As soon as I passed by, I saw the conspicuous Binance signboard 🚩 (attached picture 2, upper right)
After walking in, there was a small counter next to it, and two staff members guided the guests to take the elevator to the main venue.
At that time, I thought to myself: "It seems that they are one of the Binance Angels on DC." To be honest, I think it's quite interesting. Today I finally get to see these people who are usually active on DC appear in reality. Medium 😆.
But since I arrived early, when I entered the venue, there were only a few guests and staff there, so I could "visit" the venue comfortably.
One of my favorite places is this lawn 🚩 (picture 3, lower left). There are decorations with the Binance anniversary logo on the ground. Coupled with the blue sky and Taipei landmark 101, it is simply perfect!
After the follow-up activities began, there was a speech from the organizer first, and then the climax of the event immediately came.
Big boss Yat Siu’s sharing and birthday wishes! 🚩(Picture 4, lower right)
As soon as Yat Siu came on stage, people who were socializing, eating, and taking pictures immediately crowded in front of the podium, and countless mobile phones were raised to take pictures. Sure enough, the charm of the industry boss is unstoppable! 👍
After all the various activities organized by the host team and Binance’s birthday wishes were over, people at the scene were left with two modes of action: 1. Participate in live games 2. Eat + socialize
The entire venue was lively, but also a bit crowded. As a social person, I only chatted with people nearby for a while at first, and then I curled up in the corner and watched a group of KOLs working hard on social.
Overall, I think it’s a very fresh experience. Whether it’s seeing big names who are well-known online or in the community, or seeing industry practitioners familiar to crypto users appearing in front of you, it’s an incredible feeling. (After all, the currency circle emphasizes privacy and anonymity, and the dragon sees the beginning but not the end)
However, a small retail investor like me who is afraid of social problems will still have the illusion that "I seem to have entered the wrong room", because everyone here is an industry practitioner or KOL, and I don't know where to start the conversation ~ I am afraid that I am not on the right channel or... Show your lower limit!
Or was it actually a mistake that invited me, a small retail investor, by accident (?)
