PANews reported on September 19 that according to CoinDesk, Bitwise released a report saying that despite the recent poor performance of Ethereum (ETH), its performance may reverse by the end of the year. The report pointed out that stablecoins are mostly issued on the Ethereum network, and more than 60% of DeFi assets are also locked on the chain. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan compared Ethereum to "Microsoft in the blockchain". Despite the intensified competition, Ethereum still has the most developers and users, and its market value is 5 times that of its closest competitor. The report believes that the challenges currently facing ETH are not "life-or-death" and may become a reverse investment opportunity by the end of the year.
