CoinVoice has recently learned that Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett revealed that former SEC Commissioner and current Robinhood Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher described in detail Robinhood’s efforts to register - "more than a dozen meetings and phone calls in a year and a half", but ultimately still received a Wells notice from the law enforcement department.
Gallagher criticized the SEC for its “scorched earth” approach to cryptocurrencies and suggested that the commission take immediate steps to provide clarity to the industry. He noted that while Congress is moving forward with much-needed legislation, the SEC has had the authority to establish basic digital asset regulation since 1996. [Original link]
