The market generally expects the first rate cut in four years to materialize, but there is still no consensus on whether the rate cut will be 25 basis points or 50 basis points. The latest "dot plot" and economic forecasts will also be released.
According to the CME's FedWatch tool, the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting rates by 50 basis points is currently 61%, while the probability of the Federal Reserve choosing a smaller rate cut of 25 basis points is 39%.
