According to the latest cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) data, spot bitcoin ETFs generated $12.9 million in gains on Monday, while spot ethereum ETFs suffered a loss of $9.51 million.
Bitcoin ETF Continues to Grow, While Ethereum Fund Loses Ground
Leading the pack of 12 bitcoin funds was Blackrock's IBIT, which attracted $15.82 million in inflows. The increase brought IBIT's total net inflows since January 11, 2024 to a whopping $20.92 billion. Fidelity's FBTC followed closely behind with $5.06 million and Franklin Templeton's EZBC was not far behind with $5.04 million. Vaneck's HODL attracted $4.91 million, while Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust added $2.82 million, according to sosovalue.xyz.
Grayscaleâs GBTC, however, saw $20.75 million in outflows, countering the gains. The outflows pushed the net outflows from GBTC since January 11 to about $20.06 billion. Meanwhile, ARKB, BITB, BRRR, BTCO, BTCW, and DEFI remained flat, posting neither gains nor losses on Monday. With the additional $12.9 million, the 12 funds have accumulated a total of $17.31 billion in net inflows since inception.
Ethereum ETFs, on the other hand, had a tougher day, losing $9.51 million across nine funds. Blackrockâs ETHA and Grayscaleâs Ethereum Mini Trust bucked the trend, losing $4.16 million and $2.29 million, respectively. Grayscaleâs ETHE suffered the biggest loss, losing $13.83 million, followed by Bitwiseâs ETHW with a $2.13 million outflow.
The restâFETH, ETHV, EZET, QETH, and CETHâremained neutral, posting no gains or losses. The $9.51 million outflow pushed the total net outflow of the nine ethereum funds to $590.73 million since July 23. Statistics from Sosovalue.xyz show that the nine funds collectively hold $6.22 billion in ether, accounting for 2.27% of ETHâs market capitalization. On the other hand, the 12 spot bitcoin ETFs control $52.57 billion in BTC, equivalent to 4.61% of the cryptocurrencyâs total market cap.
