According to Foresight News, The Block reported that the stablecoin USDC is now available in Brazil and Mexico. This move allows the direct exchange of Brazilian reals and Mexican pesos into USDC without converting fiat currencies into US dollars. Businesses can obtain USDC from local financial institutions for their own use or provide stablecoins to retail customers. The company said in a statement, "Circle now supports local bank transfers through PIX and SPEI, the national real-time payment systems in Brazil and Mexico. The cancellation of international wire transfers can greatly shorten the deposit and withdrawal time of USD against USD and release funds trapped in lengthy settlement processes."
