Abu Dhabi has seen rapid growth in the AI ​​sector, with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry recording the establishment of more than 400 new companies in this sector during the first half of the year. This high turnout reflects a growing interest in AI and demonstrates the emirate’s efforts to consolidate its position as a global hub for technological innovation.
Official figures show that the number of artificial intelligence companies in Abu Dhabi increased by 41.3% during the first half of this year, with around 90 new companies registered. This significant increase reflects the dynamism and continuous growth of the sector.
A previous study revealed that the number of AI companies in Abu Dhabi has nearly doubled over the past three years, recording a compound annual growth rate of 67%. This high rate reflects the dynamism of this sector.

The new study also confirmed that the rapid growth in the AI ​​sector in Abu Dhabi reflects the emirate’s attractiveness as a hub for innovation and investment. This growth confirms Abu Dhabi’s commitment to building a sustainable knowledge economy and enhances its position as a major player in the field of AI at the regional and global levels.
The Chamber of Commerce study also showed that research and consulting in the field of innovation and artificial intelligence is witnessing remarkable growth in Abu Dhabi, as these activities constituted 69% of the total activities during the second quarter of the year. This reflects the growing trend towards developing a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, and indicates the close cooperation between the public and private sectors to achieve this goal.
The study also confirmed that Abu Dhabi encourages investment in the artificial intelligence sector, as it attracts start-ups and talents in this field. Activities such as training in artificial intelligence (11%) and managing smart robots (10%) indicate the existence of an environment that supports innovation and growth.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber pointed out in its study its active role in developing the artificial intelligence scene in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and encouraging the adoption of innovation and digital transformations to contribute to making it the first choice in the Middle East and North Africa region in doing business by 2025, according to its current strategy, by providing comprehensive digital services designed to meet the requirements of artificial intelligence companies, and enabling them to access resources, information and insights about the market, and the necessary support for growth and success, in the competitive business scene witnessed by Abu Dhabi.
In addition, the “ChamberGPT” platform is a testament to the UAE’s leadership in the field of artificial intelligence, as it has been able to reach more than 85 countries and record more than 6,000 interactions. This great success reflects the platform’s reach and global influence, especially with it achieving a 39% growth in the number of messages and 166% in the number of countries during the first half of the year.
