Less than an hour after MetaMask’s initial tweet, the issue was resolved.
The team behind the popular Ethereum native wallet warned earlier today that its app has been removed from the Apple App Store.
However, the issue now appears to have been resolved and Apple users can now download MetaMask again.
On October 14, some users complained to X that they could not find and download the MetaMask app from Apple’s App Store.
A few hours later, the team behind the wallet confirmed the speculation but said it was “not associated with any malicious behavior and our team is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
In this context, the danger of fake MetaMask applications spreading on the Internet is increasing, leading to the exploitation of a large number of accounts. One of the recent victims includes Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks.
The MetaMask team also warned users in its tweet not to trust suspicious applications.
Less than an hour after the original tweet, the team released an update indicating that the MetaMask app had been restored to the App Store.
The media successfully verified this, as the app did appear and was available for download at the time of writing. #MetaMask #苹果应用商店
