Microstrategy also highlights its BTC Yield as a performance metric. The metric returned 4.4% from July 1 to September 12 and has returned 17.0% year to date. BTC Yield measures the ratio of bitcoin holdings to outstanding shares, assessing the effectiveness of a strategy to increase shareholder value through bitcoin purchases. However, the company acknowledges that BTC Yield has limitations, including not taking into account liabilities and the possibility of debt refinancing.
