Hamster Kombat, one of the world’s most successful Web3 games, has announced that Binance will list its HMSTR token and will include the project as the 58th initiative in its Launchpool structure. The Hamster Kombat team also announced that HMSTR will have a total supply of 100 billion tokens instead of the announced 10 billion, with 3 billion distributed to Binance stakers.

Hamster Kombat, the TON-based “clicker” game distributed by Telegram, has added Binance as a launch partner and changed the total supply of HMSTR ahead of its upcoming airdrop, scheduled for September 26.

Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, has reported that it will include HMSTR in its 58th initiative on its Launchpad platform, allowing users to accumulate HMSTR by locking up BNB and FDUSD. The lockup period will begin on September 19 and end on September 26, the airdrop date. Trading will also begin on that date, with Binance claiming it will be the first platform to list HMSTR.

Previously, the Hamster Kombat team also announced that several exchanges, including Bybit, Okx, Bitfinex, and Bitget, have partnered with the project to list HMSTR on their platforms. Additionally, the team reported that HMSTR will have a total supply of 100 billion tokens instead of the announced 10 billion, of which 3 billion will be allocated to Binance users participating in the Launchpad initiative.

The Binance listing comes as part of a partnership to dispel doubts about the project’s sustainability, which has been mired in legal trouble with angel investors allegedly claiming revenue for their involvement in the game’s development. The game has become wildly popular in regions like Russia, where it has contributed to a surge in sales of tapping massagers that can be used to circumvent the game’s click-detection reward system.

Russian government officials share concerns about the game's impact on Russian citizens. Head of the Russian State Duma's Financial Market Committee Anatoly Aksakov called for a nationwide shutdown of the game in July.
