[IOTA’s trusted partner status in the EU: European blockchain service PCP solution breakdown]

The IOTA Foundation cooperates with the European Commission to promote innovative solutions based on blockchain, enhance transparency in various industries, and develop three major projects under the "Pre-Commercial Procurement" (PCP) program:

1. Digital Product Passport (DPP) for electronic products

IOTA has partnered with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and eReuse to develop a tool to track the entire life cycle of electronic products, from raw material procurement to recycling. Through IOTA smart contracts, responsibility and transparency in product chemical composition management, failure and recycling procedures are ensured.

2. Digital product passport for plastic products

In partnership with Digimarc and Agro2Circula, a DPP prototype was developed that aims to solve the problem of agricultural plastic waste, track the life cycle of plastic products, provide transparency from use to recycling, and reduce environmental impact.

3. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Management Solutions

Through IOTA smart contracts and NFTs, media royalties and rights management are automated to improve compensation transparency and protection for creators and ensure immediate and fair compensation.

These projects demonstrate IOTA’s innovation and efficiency improvements in promoting electronic product management, environmental sustainability and intellectual property management.
