*Update: Binance Charity's Typhoon Yagi Relief Airdrop Program in Northern Vietnam has been completed (19.09.2024)

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the community for their enthusiastic support for the airdrop program to support Binance users affected by the storm in the Northern Vietnam region. The program received a large number of registrations and quickly reached the support limit earlier than expected.

Therefore, we will close the program and no longer accept any more registrations for Proof of Address (POA) address verification to airdrop BNB token vouchers.

Please note:

  • Users who have completed POA verification before September 10, 2024, with addresses in northern Vietnam will receive a BNB token voucher worth 50 USD.

  • Users who registered before September 10, 2024 and submitted POA verification before September 17, 2024 (23:00 UTC+7) will be considered for a $20 BNB token voucher on a first-come, first-served basis until the vouchers are exhausted.

We apologize for any inconvenience this announcement may cause and hope you can understand our efforts. Binance remains committed to supporting our community in the future.

In response to the severe damage caused by the recent Typhoon Yagi in Northern Vietnam, Binance Charity will airdrop up to $1 million USD in BNB to users registered on Binance and identified as residing in disaster-affected areas.

The identification of affected users will be based on their POA (proof of address) information, which will be used to determine their location of residence in 25 cities in Northern Vietnam, which are the most significantly affected.

Users who have completed POA before September 10, 2024 in these 25 cities will receive $50 in BNB directly into their Binance accounts. However, we also understand that not all affected users will be able to complete POA verification on the specified date, Binance Charity will still support the airdrop of $20 in BNB to users who have registered an account before September 10, 2024, and these users need to complete POA between September 10, 2024 and September 30, 2024 (both days inclusive) to receive support.

The support funds will start being distributed to users on September 16, 2024.

Binance CEO Richard Teng said: "We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who are severely affected by Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. We hope that our efforts will bring some comfort to those affected. We are always with the community and hope that the community will soon overcome this disaster."
