Chainlink, the industry-standard decentralized computing platform, has announced that it will host its annual flagship SmartCon in Hong Kong, China, in late October. Following the success of SmartCon 2022 and 2023 in New York and Barcelona, ​​this is Chainlink’s first SmartCon in Asia—the conference will be held at the Kerry Hotel, kicking off with a two-day Hacker House on October 28th and 29th, followed by an exciting agenda on multiple stages at the main venue on October 30th and 31st.

Fusion of DeFi and TradFi

As Chainlink's flagship conference, SmartCon 2024 focuses on the integration of blockchain and traditional finance, bringing together leading DeFi protocols such as Aave and the world's largest financial institutions and market infrastructure such as Swift, Euroclear, ANZ, etc. The audience is expected to be divided into 40% Web3, 40% capital markets, and 20% enterprises and blockchain researchers, to jointly discuss industry hot topics such as tokenization of real-world assets, stablecoins, cross-chain interoperability, the intersection of artificial intelligence and blockchain, changes in the capital market life cycle, and regional digital asset ecology.
