According to TechFlow, on September 11, Linea co-founder and head of growth Marco Monaco officially announced his resignation through social media. Monaco revealed that he had resigned from Consensys in mid-June and officially left the project after the EthCC meeting in mid-July. During his tenure, Monaco devoted nearly 20 hours a day to Linea's business vision and ecosystem construction.

Monaco said he wanted more time to fully realize his vision and change the outside world's perception of Linea as just a mining network to focus more on Linea community building and organic growth with the support of MetaMask. However, Monaco and Consensys leadership had a disagreement on the direction of the project. After careful consideration, both parties agreed that the best development path for Linea would no longer include Monaco.

In the future, the Consensys and MetaMask teams will take over the development of Linea. Monaco emphasized that he will continue to support the Linea team during the transition to ensure a smooth handover. He said he will always be Linea's first supporter and has begun to invest in new business challenges.
