According to ChainCatcher, Philip Brimmer, a judge at the Colorado District Court, ruled to dismiss a class action lawsuit against Estonian cryptocurrency wallet provider Atomic Wallet. The court found that it lacked jurisdiction over Atomic Wallet, its CEO Konstantin Gladyshev, shareholder Pavel Sokolov, and associated software development company Evercode Infinite. The lawsuit stemmed from a hacker attack of approximately $100 million on Atomic Wallet in June 2023.

In his ruling, Judge Brimmer noted that Atomic Wallet’s connection to Colorado was insufficient to establish jurisdiction over the company. The judge specifically emphasized that it was difficult for the company to determine the specific geographic location of users, given that Atomic Wallet provides software application services. The court gave the plaintiffs 21 additional days to provide reasons why the lawsuit against Ilia Brusov, one of the founders of Evercode Infinite and a 12.8% stake holder in Atomic Wallet, should not be dismissed.
