On September 1, Binance burned a staggering 1.2 billion #LUNC tokens, with the burn transaction also generating 5.96 million LUNC in taxes. Between July 31 and August 29, Binance removed $97,229.23 worth of trading fees in the 25th batch of the LUNC burn mechanism. Over the past two years, Binance has burned around 65 billion LUNC tokens.
To date, 132 billion LUNC tokens have been taken out of circulation, though Binanceâs contribution has been decreasing over time. As usual, these burn transactions occur on the first of each month to support the #TerraLunaClassic ecosystem. This ongoing commitment aims to reduce the total LUNC supply and potentially boost its value.
Even after Terra's collapse in 2022, Binance's dedication to LUNC remains strong, playing a crucial role in the community's efforts to restore the assetâs price stability.
