On the night of September 7, 2024, the Bitcoin rate fell to $52,500. Over the course of 24 hours, the asset price fell by 3.7%. Against this background, the volume of liquidations on futures in the cryptocurrency market amounted to more than $314 million in 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours, 86,002 traders have had their positions liquidated. About $218 million in losses were from long positions, and more than $95 million from short positions. Bitcoin and Ethereum predominate in terms of assets — positions worth about $123 million and $75 million were liquidated in pairs with these cryptocurrencies, respectively.

The largest liquidations were traditionally on the OKX and Binance cryptocurrency exchanges – $118.70 million and $112.07 million, respectively. The largest liquidation of $13.50 million was recorded on the HTX exchange (formerly Huobi) in the BTC/USD trading pair.
