Crypto money Sam Bankman-Fried's ex-girlfriend, Caroline Ellison, testifies in his bankruptcy trial t-670/>crypto exchange company FTX. The former CEO of Alameda Research revealed some surprising information .

Caroline told the jury that people in FTX used sex workers in an effort to try to get back their funds i USD 1 billion that was frozen by the Chinese government. He did not mention who the figure he was referring to, whether it was Bankman or someone else .

He only revealed that the identity of the Thai prostitute was discovered by Sam Trabucco, former co-CEO of Alameda.

It was further revealed that a lawyer in China was hired to try to unfreeze funds frozen by the government. t-367/>Xi Jinping in response to the investigation of money laundering . However in the lawyer was unsuccessful.

When that didn't work, Caroline said that the team decided to send around USD150 million of crypto assets to the wallet that g is believed to belong to a Chinese official. However he referred to it in language code when entering it in his report to Bankman.

For it is known Caroline was the main witness in Bankman's trial. On the first day of her testimony her ex boyfriend of directing her to commit the crime.

Caroline also revealed that Bankman had a system that allowed the withdrawal of money from FTX.

In the courtroom, Bankman did not appear to react to Carollne's testimony. During a break in the hearing, he glanced at a group of reporters sitting in the gallery and raised his eyebrows.

Bankman is accused of orchestrating a scheme to turn FTX into his personal piggy bank. Authorities argue that he stole as much as USD10 billion from i customers to finance investments venture capital , purchase luxury real estate , make campaign contributions , and repay lenders loans to Alameda.

In total Bankman faces eight charges with a maximum sentence of 115 years in prison. He is currently free on $250 million to be a house prisoner at his parents' home in Palo Alto, California, near Stanford University, where they both are law professors .
