ChainCatcher news: According to CoinDesk, U.S. federal prosecutors have refuted the allegations of FTX executive Ryan Salame, saying that they did not violate the terms of the plea agreement reached with the former FTX executive - that they would stop the criminal investigation of Salame's long-term partner and mother of his children, Michelle Bond. Prosecutors said that they never made any such promises to Ryan Salame, either formally or informally, and that their prosecution of Michelle Bond was fair.

In a scathing 32-page memorandum filed Thursday, prosecutors urged Judge Lewis Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to deny Salame’s recent request to enforce the conditions of his plea agreement or to dismiss his guilty plea and vacate his sentence, calling it a “shameless and self-serving attempt to violate his guilty plea and conviction ... and to undermine the lawful prosecution of Michelle Bond.”

It is reported that the relevant hearing is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2024.
