According to TechFlow, Ripple Labs' legal team has filed an application with the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, requesting a stay of execution of the August 7 ruling requiring the company to pay a $125 million fine.

According to a Sept. 4 filing, the SEC has agreed to delay payment of the fine after Sept. 6. Ripple’s lawyers proposed that 111% of the judgment amount, or about $139 million, be deposited into a bank account until “30 days after the expiration of the appeal period or resolution of any appeal.”
