After a year of extensive discussion in the community, the developers of #Polygon announced the migration of their MATIC token to the POL token. The #exchanges are expected to include the updated token.
This transition to #token POL is an important component of Polygon's development towards a zero-knowledge (ZK) chain and its integration with Agglayer, which aims to consolidate liquidity and state across multiple chains.
For those investors who have the MATIC token on Polygon's #Blockchain , they do not need to take any action. On the contrary, those who have their MATIC tokens on #Ethereum , Polygon ZKEVM or centralized exchanges, need to actively migrate their tokens to POL, using a migration contract.
