As an AI computing public chain led by #BinanceLabs , #swanchain plans to conduct #tge (token generation event) in the third quarter of 2023. At present, the mainnet event is the last opportunity for "painless mining". For users who missed the early testnet activities, now is the best time to participate.

Why is now the best time to participate in the Swan Chain mainnet event?

  1. Less competition, higher returns: The computing power requirements in the early stages of the mainnet are lower, so participants can obtain higher coin production returns. The earlier you participate, the more you can maximize your returns in a low-competition environment.

  2. Low participation cost and fast return on investment: Currently, Swan Chain does not require actual staking of SWAN tokens, and the cost of participating in mining is low. More importantly, the project also provides certain subsidies for early users, reducing the initial cost of deploying accounts and #挖矿 .

About Swan Chain Mainnet Activities

The Swan Chain mainnet event aims to incentivize users to contribute computing resources and have the opportunity to share a reward pool of 1 million SWAN tokens. The main participant roles include:

  • Edge Computing Provider (ECP): Responsible for completing zero-knowledge (ZK) tasks, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of computations, especially for real-time applications and IoT devices.

    • Deployment tutorial: https://docs.swanchain.io/computing-provider/edge-computing-provider-ecp/ecp-setup

  • Fog Computing Provider (FCP): Extends cloud computing capabilities to the edge of the network, handles the training and deployment of AI models, and leverages infrastructure such as Kubernetes (K8S).

    • Deployment tutorial: https://docs.swanchain.io/computing-provider/fog-computing-provider-fcp/computing-provider-setup

How to participate?

The Swan Chain mainnet activity was launched at the end of July and will last until September 29. Users only need to choose the appropriate computing provider (CP) role according to their hardware configuration to start mining and participate in the reward program.

Participation Cost Analysis

Participating in the Swan Chain mainnet activities requires certain hardware investment, such as high-performance servers and public network IPs, and requires payment of certain gas fees. However, staking is currently free, and users can receive Swan Credit tokens (SwanC) for staking by visiting the faucet website: https://faucet.swanchain.io/

Potential Benefit Analysis

Based on the testnet data, we can make a preliminary estimate of the potential benefits of mainnet activities.

FCP Revenue Estimates

  • Summary: Based on the last round of testnet data, using an Nvidia 3090 graphics card and 8 CPUs, about 30 SWAN can be obtained per hour of operation. If it runs at full capacity for a month (720 hours), it is expected to obtain about 2,414.63 SWAN.

  • Detailed algorithm:

    • Data reference for the first place in the test network:

      • CP account: 0x9182b76014fD5F2d6f476124969D477d2981E5cd

      • Number of tSWANs obtained: Approximately 57,306

        • The creator address of this CP account can be seen from the browser: https://proxima-explorer.swanchain.io/address/0x2fDAbEA4568F1F8627A49Bd884DA8606fCE42355

        • There are 57,306 tSWANs at this address. There are not many token tranfers at this address. We will assume that the more than 50,000 tSWANs are the income obtained by the CP from contributing computing resources.

      • Testnet rewards: 17,430.19 SWAN

        • By checking the winner list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pZzSLcfgPZ8hysRO5QhyzJ_YPHZyKrXxrxgv3POVqkY/edit?gid=0#gid=0)

      • Exchange ratio: tSWAN: SWAN ≈ 3.28: 1

    • The revenue data of different configurations on Lagrange: https://docs.lagrangedao.org/spaces/space-settings/space-hardware

      • 3080 GPU + 8 CPU configuration: 10 tSWAN per hour

      • Minimum configuration (4 CPUs): 1 tSWAN per hour

    • Assuming the minimum configuration (1 GPU (3080) + 8 CPUs) is used, 1 GPU + 4 CPUs are rented as the basic configuration, and the remaining 4 CPUs are rented as two minimum configurations:

      • Estimated hourly revenue: 10 tSWAN + 1 tSWAN = 11 tSWAN

      • Estimated revenue for one month (720 hours): 720 * 11 = 7,920 tSWAN

      • Converted to SWAN tokens: 7,920 / 3.28 ≈ 2,414.63 SWAN

Note: Additional bonuses are available for using high-end GPUs, such as RTX 4090: 3X, H100: 5X, A100: 4X, etc.

ECP revenue forecast

  • Summary: Taking 1 GPU (3080) + 8 CPUs as an example, 1 GPU + 4 CPUs are deployed on an ECP node to complete GPU tasks, and 4 CPUs are deployed on an ECP node to complete CPU tasks. 1,440 tasks are completed per month, and it is estimated that 1,717 SWAN can be obtained.

  • Detailed algorithm:

    • Data reference for the first place in the test network:

      • Number of completed tasks: 1,231

      • Assuming all are of the highest standard

        • (fil-32G-GPU: 15 tSWAN/task, 20 minutes to complete)

        • Calculated based on the current mainnet activity data, convenient for conversion with mainnet activity

      • Estimated tSWAN gained: 1,231 * 15 = 18,465 tSWAN

      • Testnet rewards: 1,468.22 SWAN

      • Exchange ratio: tSWAN : SWAN ≈ 12.576 : 1

    • During the mainnet activity, official documents show that tasks are issued every half hour, 48 tasks per day, and 1,440 tasks per month.

      • Assume the configuration is: 1 GPU + 4 CPUs deploy an ECP node, dedicated to 512M GPU tasks (10 SwanC/task)

      • 4 CPUs deploy an ECP node and accept 512M CPU tasks (5 SwanC/task)

      • Estimated monthly income: (1,440 10) + (1,440 5) = 21,600 SwanC

      • Converted to SWAN tokens: 21,600 / 12.576 ≈ 1,717 SWAN

Note: ECP mainly completes the ZK snark proof of Filecoin 512M sectors, which consumes less server resources, so it is feasible for a single server to run multiple ECP nodes at the same time.

Optimal strategy: dual mining

Taking a GPU + 20vCPU configuration as an example, it is recommended to deploy both FCP and ECP to maximize benefits:

  • FCP configuration: 1 GPU + 4 CPUs, minimum 2,215 SWAN (may be higher with high-end GPUs)

  • ECP configuration: 5 ECP nodes (each node uses 4 CPUs), the estimated total revenue is 2,862.59 SWAN (572.518 * 5)

  • Total revenue estimate: The total revenue estimate for dual mining of FCP and ECP is 5,077 SWAN. Actual revenue may be higher, especially when using high-end GPUs, which can get up to 10 times the revenue bonus.

Dashbord: ECP/FCP rankings

Currently, Swan Chain’s newly launched Dashbord page has added ECP leaderboard and FCP leaderboard, so that participants can more intuitively understand their node status and task progress, and can adjust the configuration strategy at any time according to their ranking to achieve the best mining effect: https://provider.swanchain.io/campaign/ecp

Conclusion

Compared to the previous Proxima testnet, the number of FCP and ECP on Swan Chain is still small, which provides an excellent opportunity for miners who have not yet entered the market, especially in the last month before TGE. This may be the last chance to participate in Swan Chain in a low-cost and high-yield way. It is worth noting that Swan Chain recently announced the extension of the mainnet incentive duration and launched a CP subsidy plan.
