According to DLnews, Charles Hoskinson, founder of the Cardano blockchain, announced on the X platform that he plans to launch a decentralized social media platform in Brazil. This move is a response to the Brazilian Supreme Court's order to ban the X platform from operating in the country.

“While Brazil has silenced our X Platform brothers and sisters, their work will continue and is important to all of us,” Hoskinson said. “I can’t wait to recruit the many Brazilians who will help us build a decentralized social network.”

It is reported that the X platform has 20 million users in Brazil. Because Elon Musk refused to appoint legal representatives to negotiate with the Brazilian government, the Supreme Court ordered the suspension of the platform's operations in Brazil, resulting in many users being unable to use X services. Hoskinson's plan aims to provide Brazilian users with an alternative platform for free speech.
