Bitcoin Automatic-Teller Machines (ATMs) are increasingly mushrooming in Australia.
Coin ATM Radar data shows the country recorded the fastest Bitcoin ATM growth worldwide. Even so, the United States still controls the majority of the market with around 32,000 machines, followed by Canada with 3,000 machines. Meanwhile, Australia is in third place with almost 1,200 machines, and it is estimated that this will continue to increase. CEO of Bitcoin Depot Inc, a US-based provider of Bitcoin ATMs, Brandon Mintz said his company has more than 200 kiosks in Australia, and is waiting for the right time to launch the machines. The Bitcoin ATMs in these countries function to provide cash to receive crypto in digital wallets or obtain physical records of token sales.
