MultiversX, a blockchain not based on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), has introduced the MultiversX Snap for MetaMask, offering an on-chain two-factor authentication (2FA) security feature.

According to a press release shared with Cointelegraph, the MultiversX Snap enables MetaMask users to connect to the MultiversX ecosystem while enhancing security measures through 2FA.

MetaMask Snaps are third-party audited extensions that provide users with additional functionalities beyond the standard MetaMask wallet features.

In a conversation with Cointelegraph, Beniamin Mincu, co-founder and CEO of MultiversX, stated that the company views initiatives like the MetaMask Snap as a significant win for the industry.

The integration of MultiversX's 2FA feature into MetaMask aims to significantly enhance security for MetaMask users.

According to the press release, the 2FA feature is "embedded within the fragmented protocol itself," ensuring compatibility across applications and wallets within the ecosystem.

Lucian Mincu, Chief Information Officer at MultiversX Labs, explained that this new integration "provides a crucial preview" of what the "Sovereign Chains SDK for the next generation" of Layer 2 solutions can offer to Web3. #Metamask #MetaMaskUpdate #DEFİ #Cryptocurrencies #CryptoNewss
