According to TechFlow, on September 1, according to the latest monitoring report released by blockchain security company PeckShield, there were more than 10 hacker attacks in the cryptocurrency field in August 2024, causing a total loss of approximately US$313.86 million. Among them, phishing attacks became the main threat, accounting for 93.5% of the total stolen funds.
The report shows that the two largest hacking attacks in August both involved unauthorized transfers (phishing), resulting in a total loss of $293.4 million. Specifically, the top five hacking incidents in August are as follows:
