🧐 Research finds: Cryptocurrency holders are more likely to be psychopaths!

A recent study has once again confirmed that Bitcoin super users are "psychopaths", and this topic has caused widespread discussion. This is not just a simple label or joke, but involves in-depth findings on the behavior of emerging financial technology user groups.

An economics professor named steve_hanke, who is a Bitcoin critic, put this study online, and people began to discuss this topic.

🎓 Research from the University of Toronto and the University of Miami

The study is based on a survey of 2,001 American adults. The results show that about 30% of the respondents own cryptocurrencies, and many of them seem to believe in conspiracy theories, are a bit narcissistic, cunning, psychopathic, and like to abuse others.

The study pointed out that these people are usually men, may be more inclined to be anti-authority, argumentative, and rely on non-mainstream social media as their main source of news. However, these traits may be attractive to the high-risk, high-return characteristics of the cryptocurrency market.

The study is similar to the findings of a 2022 study by Queensland University of Technology, which said that this psychopathy is related to a mentality called FOMO (fear of missing out), which is the feeling that "everyone is making money, and I can't fall behind."

The New York Post also reported on this study, and the headline directly said that "cryptocurrency holders have lower levels of analytical and scientific thinking and are more likely to show psychopathy."

🤔 It is worth noting that these psychological traits may be related to a broader sociocultural context. For example, distrust of authority may stem from dissatisfaction with the traditional financial system, and reliance on non-mainstream information sources may be related to skepticism of mainstream narratives.

Although the study highlighted some traits that may be seen as negative, it also found that these cryptocurrency holders are generally more educated, have higher incomes, and are more religious.

Therefore, if you find a patient with a "psychotic" field level around you, he is likely to be a cryptocurrency super user and holder. 😅
