In a park or on a pedestrian walkway, there is a small, unnoticeable bag.

Inside it is a QR code “paper wallet”. This paper contains a code

which stores the wallet key or the Bitcoin address.

In addition, there is an alleged bill inside the bag, indicating that the wallet contains 10,864 euros in Bitcoin, which was found in a Munich park.

The bag indicates that someone has exchanged 10,864 euros for Bitcoin and lost access to it in the park.

When the bag is found, the QR code can be scanned to access the Bitcoin. A large sum, it seems easy to get.

But the reality is that this is a scam.

The bag was not lost by chance, but was placed deliberately.

This scam, which has also been observed in German, Austrian and Australian cities, does not make the person who finds the bag rich, but only benefits the person who placed it. Of course, if the person falls into the trap.

When scanning the QR code, the person will not be directed to a real Bitcoin platform, but to a fake one. In the best case, the person will only lose their data, and in the worst case, they may lose a lot of money.

The Bavarian Criminal Police and German media are now warning against this fraudulent method.

If you find a plastic bag containing what appears to be a paper Bitcoin wallet, do not scan the printed QR code. Instead, hand the bag over to the nearest police station.
