🚨🇺🇸 NYC DESTROYS 4 TONS OF ILLEGAL CANNABIS PRODUCTS IN CITYWIDE CRACKDOWN

NYC Major Eric Adams:

“Now you see it. Now it's destroyed.

We incinerated 4 TONS of illegal cannabis products, and our 'Operation Padlock to Protect' team will continue weeding out bad actors.”

New York City officials, led by Mayor Eric Adams, destroyed over 4 tons of illegal cannabis products seized from 1,000 unlicensed stores as part of "Operation Padlock to Protect."

The operation, initiated in May, aims to enforce state cannabis laws and protect consumer safety.

The crackdown follows New York's SMOKEOUT Act, which empowers municipalities to shut down non-compliant stores.

The seized products, worth $63 million, were incinerated to prevent them from reentering the market.
