TechFlow reported that Time.fun, a crypto startup that tokenizes people's time, has completed a $3 million seed round of financing, led by Brevan Howard Digital. Other investors include Coinbase Ventures, Breed VC, Zee Prime Capital, and Arthur Hayes' family office Maelstrom.
Time.fun is a platform built on the Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain Base that allows creators to tokenize their time. Users can buy, sell, and redeem this time to private message or call creators one-on-one. Creators receive fees when their time is traded or redeemed.
Since its launch on June 17, Time.fun has facilitated transactions worth about 570 Ethereum (ETH), earning creators about 15 Ethereum (about $60,000). Time.fun also earned about $45,000 in revenue.
0xKawz pointed out that what makes Time.fun different from similar platforms such as Friend.tech is that Time.fun focuses on the tokenization of time and will launch more products based on "tokenized time" in the future. The company plans to launch its own token in the future, but the specific time has not yet been determined.
Currently, Time.fun is headquartered in Miami, with a team of three people, and is looking for an engineer with React Native experience to join.
