PANews reported on August 29 that the Metis Foundation has partnered with Gitcoin to launch an annual $4 million funding program to promote innovation and growth within the Metis ecosystem. The first round of Gitcoin funding will allocate 3,000 METIS (approximately $100,000) through the QF mechanism, starting on August 29. The funding program will provide continuous financial support to active projects through multiple rounds of funding and contribution channels, focusing on identifying high-impact projects that are verified by community needs.
QF is a crowdfunding mechanism that determines the allocation of a larger pool of funds through donations from community members. Projects that support more people will receive more rewards. The application period is from August 29 to September 13, and the donation period is from September 10 to September 26. Applicants must focus on the growth and development of the Metis ecosystem, including Memecoins, games, RWA (real world assets), LSTfi and other topics. Successful projects will receive continued support and funding monitoring.
