[Indian court orders removal of fraudulent website using the name of cryptocurrency exchange Mudrex] Golden Finance reported that cryptocurrency exchange Mudrex obtained a court order requiring the Indian Ministry of Communications to shut down up to 38 websites that used the company's name to commit fraud. The Delhi High Court made a ruling on August 23, one day after the petition was filed, giving the ministry a week to execute it. Mudrex filed a lawsuit in court after about 15 people contacted customer support or came to the Bangalore office to report that they had been deceived. Edul Patel, CEO and co-founder of Mudrex, said in an interview: "We estimate that the number of retail investors who have actually been deceived may be 1,000, and the estimated losses may exceed US$50,000."
