#HKMA launches Ensemble project sandbox to promote tokenized applications🚀

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced the launch of the Ensemble project sandbox, which attracted 25 institutions including HSBC, BOC Hong Kong, Hang Seng and Standard Chartered to participate in the first phase. The sandbox aims to promote interbank settlement using experimental tokenized currencies and study tokenized asset transactions.

The project will cover the tokenization of traditional financial assets and real-world assets, focusing on four major themes: fixed income, liquidity management, green finance and supply chain financing.
