🚨 Thunderbolt in the crypto world! 🚨 Telegram CEO Pavel Durov released from police custody, but it's not over yet! A crucial court decision is expected! ⚡

French-Russian billionaire Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, has been released by police but remains under heavy surveillance in Paris, where he could face explosive charges including terrorism and child abuse content. 🤯

According to AFP, Durov was transferred to a Paris court on Wednesday, August 28, for possible indictment after his arrest at Le Bourget airport, near Paris. French authorities accuse him of failing to moderate criminal content on his encrypted messaging platform. On August 26, an investigating judge extended Durov’s custody for another 48 hours, leaving him facing an imminent decision: to be released or formally charged with some of the charges against him. ⏳

🔥 Shocking Accusations Against Durov! 🔥

French authorities accuse Durov's platform of being used for illegal activities, accusations that Telegram categorically denies. Among the charges: complicity in the sale of child sexual abuse material, drug trafficking, fraud, supporting organized crime transactions, and refusing to cooperate with investigators. 🚨

Additionally, Politico reports that French authorities were also interested in Nikolai Durov, Pavel's brother, and issued arrest warrants for both brothers last March following a lack of cooperation in a child sexual abuse investigation.

💥 Consequences on the Crypto Market! 💥

Durov's arrest caused a sharp drop in Telegram's associated crypto, Toncoin (TON), which tumbled 20% to $5.3, with its market cap dropping to $13.6 billion. The crypto community, however, remains strongly mobilized to support the Telegram founder in the face of these allegations. 🌐
