Vitalik: Airdrops are an ideal use case for testing blockchain identity and credential frameworks

According to TechFlow, on August 28, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed his opinion on the social platform that airdrops are an ideal initial use case for verifying zero-knowledge proofs, blockchain identities, credentials, and proof frameworks. Vitalik pointed out that the goals of airdrops include distributing tokens to real community members, rewarding project contributors, maintaining relative fairness, and resisting malicious arbitrage. He believes that these characteristics are highly consistent with the goals of identity, credentials, and proof frameworks, so it is reasonable to use token issuance as an initial test case for these frameworks, especially for optimization and improvement in adversarial environments.
