Asymmetric Research has discovered a critical vulnerability in Circle's Noble-CCTP protocol on the Cosmos network. An attacker could bypass sender verification and create fake USDC tokens.

- The vulnerability allowed sending fake BurnMessages.

- Circle has already fixed the bug, and no one was harmed.

- A similar issue was found in the Wormhole bridge on the Aptos network in 2024.
