đ„The real world asset market (#RWA ) on public blockchains is witnessing impressive growth. RWA are assets with real-world value such as real estate, commodities, or securities, digitized and put on the blockchain.
Currently, the total value of the RWA market has surpassed the $10.9 billion mark, up 37.1% from the beginning of the year when it was only around $8 billion. This growth is mainly driven by the increasing demand for private loans and US Treasury debt. Of which, the private credit market accounts for the majority with $8.1 billion, followed by tokenized US Treasuries with $1.9 billion. Other types of tokenized assets have a total value of less than $1 billion.
This development shows the growing trend of bringing traditional assets to the blockchain, opening up new opportunities for investors and promoting the development of financial technology, while creating a bridge between the traditional financial world and the crypto world.
