Durov flew to France from Azerbaijan together with a bodyguard and an unnamed girl on a private jet on Saturday, August 24, at about 21:00 Moscow time. At the exit of the jet, he was met by gendarmes with a search warrant, which was issued by the National Directorate of the French Judicial Police based on a preliminary investigation. Durov was taken into custody. It is known that he is planned to be charged under several articles. Among the crimes that the businessman may be accused of committing are terrorism, fraud, money laundering and distribution of pedophile content, as well as drug trafficking.
