According to ChainCatcher, the parallel EVM Layer 1 public chain Artela Network announced that its Discord community was hacked and published false information about token airdrops, with a link pointing to a malicious website. The Artela Network team quickly blocked the attack within half an hour of the incident and fully restored Discord in two hours. There are currently no reports of users being harmed; before clicking on any link, please be sure to use the following official link to confirm the authenticity.
As Artela Network approaches the mainnet launch and token generation event (TGE), more such hacker attacks may be encountered. The team will continue to review and strengthen internal security measures, and has set up the #community-security channel in Discord as the official channel for reporting security issues and hacker attacks in the future. We also call on industry practitioners and community members to remain vigilant and not click on unknown links or authorize unofficial software tools at will.
Official reminder: Artela Network has not launched any airdrop activities yet. Please follow Artela's latest updates through the above official link to get the correct information.
