PANews reported on August 24 that according to Decrypt, Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman predicted that artificial intelligence could replace programmers within two years. Garman believes that this is not about completely eliminating developers, but about redefining their roles. "Coding is like the language we use to talk to computers," he explained. "It's not necessarily a skill in itself. The skill itself is like, how do I innovate? How do I build something that my end users are interested in?"

Previously, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said AI will make "everyone a programmer" without having to know anything about coding. Microsoft's Satya Nadella predicted that AI will create 1 billion new developers using the exact same premise. Last year, former Stability AI CEO Emad Mostaque predicted that "there will be no programmers in five years."
