Altcoin purge on exchanges: OKX also delists 6 cryptocurrencies
Exchanges are conducting delisting operations at a pace not seen for a while in August. The number of assets that have been decided to be delisted from the three major exchanges in the last few weeks has reached 32.
Delisting operations on cryptocurrency exchanges accelerated in August. The largest exchanges, Bybit and OKX, delisted a total of 20 cryptocurrencies in the second week of August, while Binance removed 6 cryptocurrencies from its platform last week.
OKX's new delisting decision was added to these today. The exchange announced that it will delist FITFI, GARI, XPR, AKITA, TAMA and WNCG. These assets will not be traded as of August 30. The withdrawals will continue until November 30.
The statement stated that the performance of all listed assets is continuously monitored and their listing qualifications are examined. It was emphasized that the relevant assets were removed from the list based on the feedback received and the listing criteria.
With today's delisting decision, the number of assets removed from the list on the three major exchanges in just a few weeks has reached 32.
